Glass Pack Pool Filter Media is used in place of sand in sand filters only. It costs less than sand, is 100% recycled, lasts 10 times longer than sand, uses about the same amount glass pack as sand, and filters out particles about 100 times smaller than sand is able to filter. It is the best filtration media available. Brought to the pool industry by ECOsmarte, it has been a long time staple of the wastewater treatment industry. No prerinsing required, it installs cleanly right out of the bag. Required gravel base is included with purchase.
Please Note: ECOsmarte pools require efficient and sufficient filtration. ECOsmarte doesn't recommend or support filters under 200 lbs on any pool. Pool builders often undersize the pumps and filters to encourage pool owners to buy more chemicals. For ECOsmarte to work properly - an upgrade to a larger pump and filter is often required. Likewise - if you are upgrading to glass media from sand - the minimum size filter it will work in is a 200 lb filter.
