Attention Above Ground Pool Owners: In most cases your electrodes will be 2". They used to be sold as a 1 1/2" system. To double check which size you need you can either measure the width of the titanium (thin, black) electrodes, or measure the circumference of the electrode chamber. If the chamber is about 6 1/2" around you need 1 1/2" electrodes. If it is almost 8" around you need 2" electrodes. If you have questions please email or use the live chat feature.
Copper electrodes need to be replaced about every 2-7 years. If the copper electrodes are wobbly on the screws, have fallen off the screws, or are 1/16" thick or less - they need to be replaced. The "hardware kit" (titanium screws, metal tabs and rubber grommets) used to attach the copper electrodes to the chamber are included with the copper electrodes.
